Certificates presented to Bicton Cadets
They were invited to attend the college during the cadets morning parade to present the cadets with Participation Certificates. This was in recognition of their participation at the Budleigh Late Night Shopping event on Friday 8 December 2023. The cadets marshalled each of the junctions along High Street and Fore Street to enforce the road closure and ensure the safety of the many people who attended the event. The cadets also helped with the removal of cones and signs at the end of the evening.
Alan Tilbury, a director of the Budleigh Information Centre (BIC), thanked the cadets for coming along to the event. Their participation contributed to the success of the evening, and the hours they spent marshalling each junction was greatly appreciated. Sarah Coles, a volunteer at the BIC who helped to organise the Late Night Shooping event, presented the certificates to the cadets.
The Military and Protective Services (MaPS) Academy prepares students for a career in the Armed Forces, Emergency and Rescue services, the fire, police, ambulance, UK Border force as well as, non-uniformed roles, civil service, voluntary or private security sector.
Helping within the community is something the cadets are encouraged to get involved with. If you think they may be able to help you with an event please contact Scott Lawson at Bicton College.
