Budleigh Salterton Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organisation, focused on the development and mutual support of the business community in Budleigh Salterton and the surrounding area. 

The Chamber of Commerce aims are to:   
    

• Work together to raise the positive profile of the Budleigh Salterton area, achieved by organising community events, such as the Summer Street Party, Fun Run in Gala week, Auction of Promises, Easter Bonnet window competition and  annual Late Night Shopping event  and through our website and directory. 
• Work together to improve the business environment and the effectiveness of businesses, achieved by the development of the Town Map in all the major car parks. 

• Develop a role as a business forum, representing our members’ interests particularly with the Town Council, on issues affecting the town, such as parking, social distancing systems during Covid 19, and  economic regeneration. 

• Chamber members regularly attend business forums with other neighbouring Chambers, where the local MP, Simon Jupp  is often present or represented , offering a direct link to Westminster with your concerns. 

• The Chamber of Commerce was  involved in the Neighbourhood Plan, which has  shaped the future of Budleigh Salterton and the surrounding area. 

• Encourage people to support local businesses and to shop locally for food, drink and other shopping, leisure pursuits and services.

• Promote tourism for Budleigh Salterton and the surrounding area, through the success of our website and business directory, updates of events on Facebook,  our close association with the Tourist Information Centre and by networking with other organisations.
