Following the international success of the Academy Award-winning film, Salterton Drama Club is proud to present Samuel D. Hunter's powerful and deeply moving play, The Whale.
Charlie, a reclusive online writing tutor, has withdrawn from the world. Living alone and struggling with severe obesity, he spends his days behind a screen, burdened by regret, grief, and the choices of his past. Knowing his health is failing, Charlie makes one final attempt to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter, Ellie.
