​Message received from Devon Highways on 8th June 2026:

Due to the major deterioration of Budleigh High Street and Fore Street contingency money has been made available to resurface the road under emergency works.

To be able to carry out these important works DCC will need to close the road on 16th/17th/18th June (weather dependant) from 7pm – 7am. We will require any car owners that park there during this time to kindly move them so we can effectively deliver these works.
